Urodzony w 1950 r. w Gdańsku. 1971-1976 studia na wydziale rzeźby Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku. Od 1981 tworzy w Hamburgu. W swojej pracy twórczej zajmuje się materialnością drewna. Cięcie, łamanie, łupanie to pojęcia określające jego twórczość. 1998 – I nagroda, Prix du Jury, Salon de Printemps ‘98 w Luksemburgu. Projekt i realizacja dwóch pomników: „Polakom deportowanym po upadku Powstania Warszawskiego 1944 r.“ na terenie Muzeum – Miejsca Pamięci b. obozu koncentracyjnego w Neuengamme dzielnicy Hamburga oraz „Ofiarom Trzeciej Rzeszy wywiezionym na roboty przymusowe do Hamburga“ w centrum Hamburga-Bergedorfu. Prace artysty znajdują się w wielu prywatnych i państwowych zbiorach. Udział w licznych wystawach zbiorowych i indywidualnych. W 2012 r. powstaje w Hamburgu stała ekspozycja prac artysty, która od 2016 r. wspierana jest przez Freundeskreis der Sammlung de Weryha e.V.

Born in 1950 in Gdańsk, Poland, he studied sculpture from 1971 to 1976 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He has been working in Hamburg since 1981. In his artistic work he is dealing with the materiality of wood. Cutting, breaking, split-ting are terms which determine his creative work. In 1998 he was the winner of the Prix du Jury at the Salon de Printemps ‘98 in Luxembourg. He was commissioned with the erection of two memorials: Firstly ‘In Memory of the Deportees of the War-saw Uprising in 1944’ at the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial in Hamburg and secondly ‘In Memory of the Nazi Forced Labourers in Hamburg’ in Hamburg-Bergedorf. His works are to be found in many private and public collections. He took part in numerous solo and group exhibitions. There is a permanent exhibition of the works of the artist in Hamburg since 2012, supported from 2016 by the Freundes-kreis der Sammlung de Weryha e.V.
