„Rzeźbiarstwem zająłem się dość późno. Trudno jednoznacznie określić skąd bierze się we mnie potrzeba tworzenia. Napisałem także kilkanaście wierszowanych bajek i namalowałem trochę obrazów (można zobaczyć je tu: www.eskar.weebly.com). Jednak rzeźba pozostaje w centrum mojej twórczości. Pomysł pojawia się sam, wykonanie go wymaga jednak sporego wysiłku. Jednakże oczekiwanie na efekt końcowy jest nagrodą za wysiłek i wyzwala chęć do kontynuacji. Powstają kolejne wizje, mniej lub bardziej udane, następna rzeźba, bajka czy obraz powodują, że koło kreatywności się toczy. Materia staje się posłuszna ludzkiej myśli. Nieważne co to będzie: kawałek papieru, płótna, zbrojonego cementu lub drewna, bo z tego z pozoru nic nie znaczącego materiału powstaje forma i treść, coś trwałego i to jest dla mnie fascynujące. Na stałe mieszkam i tworzę w Szczecinie.
I have taken up sculpture in a relatively late phase of my life. It is quite challenging to pin-point an exact reason for my need of artistic creation. In the meantime, I also wrote over a dosen of versed fairy tales and did a couple of paintings (link: www.eskar.weebly.com). Nevertheless, sculpting remains a major focus of my work. The concept of a sculpture appears on its own, whereas its practical realisation needs significant effort. Awaiting the final effect is a prize for the hard work and provides motivation for further challenges. New ideas arise, some are spot-on, some not so much; further sculptures, fairy tales and paintings make the wheel of my artictic world go round. The matter becomes obedient to the artist’s thought. Regardless of what it is: a piece of paper, canvas, reinforced concrete or wood; as for this apparently insignificant matter becomes a form and content, something permanent and this is what fascinates me. I reside and create my works in Szczecin.
