Grzegorz Witek urodzony w 1976 roku w Ciężkowicach. 1996 ukończył PLSP w Tarnowie. 1991-1992 – stypendysta Krajowego Funduszu na Rzecz Dzieci. 1996-2001 studia na Wydziale Rzeźby ASP w Warszawie; dyplom z wyróżnieniem rektorskim w pracowni rzeźby prof. Adama Myjaka. Tytuł pracy praktycznej :„Portret Miasta i Wsi”. 1999-2000 – pobyt stypendialny w ASP w Bratysławie. Od 2002 roku praca dydaktyczna na Wydziale Rzeźby macierzystej uczelni ( asystent prof. Jana Kucza, a następnie prof. Piotra Gawrona ) W 2003 roku otrzymał stypendium Ministra Kultury i Sztuki. W 2010 rok uzyskał stopień doktora w dziedzinie sztuk plastycznych dyscyplinie artystycznej – sztuki piękne. Tytuł rozprawy doktorskiej : „Pomiędzy”. Habilitacje uzyskał w 2016 roku. Obecnie ( OD 2016r.) jako profesor Uczelni prowadzi pracownie rzeźby dla I roku.
Grzegorz Witek was born in 1976 in Ciężkowice, Poland. In 1996 he graduated from PLSP in Tarnów. From 1991 to 1992 he was the National Children’s Fund scholarship holder. He studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where in 2001 he received a diploma with distinction in the atelier of professor Adam Myjak. He was the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava scholarship holder from 1999 to 2000. Since 2002 he has worked at the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 2003 he was awarded scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art. In 2010 he obtained a PhD in Fine Arts and habilitation in 2016. Since 2016, as a University Professor, he has run the atelier of sculpture for first year students at the Faculty of Sculpture of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts.
